If you are in the process of, or planning to make a will, please consider leaving a gift to Steps Charity.

Anyone can leave money to a charity in their will – this is known as a legacy.

Gift in wills to charities are exempt from Inheritance Tax and can be made as a percentage share, a lump sum or a specific gift.

If you are a UK tax payer, please gift aid your donation by completing the attached form and include it as part of your email to us.

If you are an employee of a company that runs a Payroll Giving Scheme, you can make regular donations to us directly from your pay by nominating Steps as your chosen charity. Your donation will be deducted from your pay before it is taxed under PAYE and so you will receive tax relief at the highest rate of tax.

We recommend setting up a standing order directly into our bank account using the following details:

Bank account name: Steps Charity
Sort Code: 20 20 46
Account No: 90081140
Bank: Barclays

And add a reference of your surname followed by either GA (gift aid) or donation (non-gift aid).

When setting up a standing order, please remember to contact us by emailing info@steps-charity.co.uk using the subject heading “Regular Support” to let us know:

• Who you are
• Whether you wish to gift aid the donation
• Whether you would like us to keep you informed of what is happening at Steps
